I’m Michael Szczepkowski, a Montgomery County, PA-based sports photographer with over 12 years behind the lens. It all started capturing youth soccer games for my three boys’ teams—not just their moments, but the whole team’s determination and grit through moments of glory and defeat. Now, I shoot a wide range of sports from local high school games to college events across the country, and recently began freelancing for Philly Sports Digest.

What drives me? Freezing the hidden athleticism—those split-second moves fans can’t witness—and seeing student-athletes light up when they see their effort frozen in time.  Every image is a craft, honed through careful editing. Inspired by area pros like Zamani Feelings and the fresh energy of young shooters, I’m always learning, always pushing to make each event’s gallery better than the last.
